Angry Birds PS Mini Trailer

It’s Angry Birds and it’s coming to the PlayStation Network. Do I need to type any more than that? Is there anyone in the world who is unaware of Angry Birds? Does it even need a trailer? Why am I asking all these questions?

It’s the gazillion selling Angry Birds and it’s on PlayStation. Fling birds at pigs. Message ends.

  1. Will be weird with the stick… think I might wait until I get my iPhone :)

  2. That was an awful lot of questions there TC =P

I’m still yet to actually give angry birds a go, maybe its arrival on the PSN will be what swings me round to it – we shall see, probably largely based on the price.

  3. Sweet. Can’t wait! Not got a poxy iPhone (sorry – I meant the fantastically designed and styled phone with awesome functionality and practicality but unfortunately made by Apple – and I detest Steve Jobs!!) so this will more than suffice.
Due to get my new HTC Desire HD tomorrow morning – I assume there is an Android app of Angry Birds too?
Goodbye Blackberry – it was a great relationship. You were always gentle and tender with me, but now I need something which is going to abuse me and do nasty things. Ahem … *starts to walk away slowly whilst rubbing hands together in a malevolent manner*

    • Yup, angry birds is on android – and its free! I’ve literally just found out, thought I’d see if there was a demo of it, so was a little suprised when I found that the full version is free.

      • Thanks – phew!! Sweet that it’s free too. Very practical considering my Xmas budget has been blown to pieces!

      • Yeah Angry Birds is free on Android, but it is ‘ad supported’. The ads aren’t too intrusive though. You certainly can’t complain when it doesn’t cost anything!! :)

      • Ha ha – I complain about the ad banners on Vidzone.

      • Have to agree with BBB, I’m never bothered by ads if it makes something free – they are so easily ignorable =]

      • If you are into rooting your phone too then you can block the ads. But it is not really too bad in Angry Birds.

  4. Missed opportunity IMO, I have Angry Birds for mobile already, what I was hoping to see was a full HD PSN release complete with trophies and possibly even Move support (similar to Flight Control HD)…

    Mini’s don’t interest me so I won’t be picking this up…

    • Yep Sony desperately need to stop with mini’s.

      • However – don’t you think that if this sells by the truckloads as a Mini, that it will add quite a bit of impetus and positive exposure of the Mini’s concept for Sony? Could be a clever marketing ploy – or it will remain to be an irrelevant service on PSN.

      • Replying to my own reply – the 2nd, less obvious sign of madness!
PSN only really received true plaudits I feel after Wipeout HD was released upon it. I for one didn’t buy into PSN until that point – and now I am a passionate convert. Could this do the same for Mini’s?

      • For those of us with PSPs, minis are all good

    • Yeah I agree. If it was going to be given the full HD PSN release treatment like Flight Control, then I would have been tempted, but as I already have it on my mobile, I’ll be skipping this.

      • Agreed. This with Move (and 1080p) would be a match made in heaven. Opportunity missed (for now).

    • i enjoy minis.

monsters (probably) stole my princess and aero racer are two of my favourite games of late. why would sony have to stop with the minis?

      • My comment didn’t make sense in the way i wanted it to. Some minis are really good games but with Angry Birds they could of have Move support and HD visuals if they had just gone against making it a mini. Basically my comment was supposed to slag off Angry Birds being a mini and not minis in general.

  5. Mini = no sale. Bad move Sony (or whoever made the decision to make this a mini), missed sales opportunity there.

    • well it looks like a mini game.

    • Same here, was looking forward to this, but making it a Mini has put me right off.

  6. i got this on my htc and love it can’t wait for it hope its a full game not a mini

    • Seeing as the title of the article is Angry Birds PS Mini Trailer then i’m assuming it’s going to be a mini unfortunately

  7. Awww yeaaaa

  8. Ow what! It’s not move supported! Thats stupid! I was looking forward to using my move controllers for something, now im not sure if I can be bothered. Very disappointed.

  9. I’m guessing the only reason it’s a mini is to piggy-back *ahem* on the portable success and hopefully get a larger PSP “minis” fanbase established.

I’d have much preferred a PS3 exclusive HD port with move control, but, from a business sense, Angry Birds is proven to be a portable gold mine, so why wouldn’t it be a PSP compatible title (mini)?

Two separate versions would have been a risky & timely initial project. Hopefully with success of this, and the continued trending of ‘Birds, including the new release of “Seasons” we might get a HD PS3 version in the future with new content included.

  10. It will probably cost about £3
