During this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, there haven’t been many new announcements in the gaming realm. However, Microsoft and Sony have been showing off their upcoming releases, and those lucky enough to drop into one of Sony’s 3D booths were treated with an extended trailer for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
Don’t get too excited, though, there is literally one or maybe two seconds of extra gameplay. One scene shows Drake barrelling through a window into the burning building featured in recent previews, as well as a melee scrap in the desert. Hopefully we will see something different in the near future (preferably multiplayer-based.)
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is slated for a November 1st release.

Still, only a snippet of new stuff at the end (although even that is lovely). Fascinated to see what they’re doing with the water altogether. After the first scene where it flood-fills the corridor, I thought “oh wait, are Naughty Dog about to show us truly staggering water and let us play through it too?”. If so, they are gods amongst men.

They can’t show a multi-player based trailer because YouTube only supports 15min vids and Uncharted wouldn’t have ‘live-synced’ in time

Ha! Surely YouTube supports a 2 second loop of “please wait” then go to scene 2 video after twenty minutes or so. ;-)

Agreed. As much as I am looking forward to seeing what they do with the multiplayer the game will be mostly about the single player for me.

I would have to say that the Uncharted 2 single player campaign was by far one of the best gaming experiences ever for me. So I am not nearly as interested in the multiplayer side of things, as I am the new single player campaign. To be perfectly honest, I was so distracted by the single player campaign in Uncharted 2 that until my brother-in-law mentioned it to me, I didn’t even notice there was multiplayer… I know… WTF right? :)

It’s going to be a great game no matter what, I can’t see it being that much better than Uncharted 2, that was brilliant and a huge improvement on UC1 sure, but what else can they do, everything was solid.
