Remember Nintendo’s DSiWare? Despite having a few real gems on there, one can’t help but feel disappointed with the service overall. That’s not stopped me from getting excited about 99Bullets, though.
Releasing on DSiWare and eShop on Thursday July 21st for 500 points, the game is a unique mix of shooter and puzzler. The galaxy IRATA 2601 is threatened by Black Eye and his minions, and you take on the role of V-99 in an attempt to stop him.
The hook is you only have 99 bullets, but these bullets also represent how many lives you have. Every time you get hit your bullet (and therefore life) count goes down by one, meaning you can chose to go on the offensive but leave yourself vulnerable to destruction, or save up your bullets to use as a buffer.
Also, I now have that Jay Z song in my head. If you having missile problems I feel bad for you son, I got 99Bullets and I just fired one, HIT ME!
