This is it, the final day of EVO 2011. The top 8 players of the world will be putting their skills to the ultimate test in what seems like a never ending tournament. There have been so many upsets this year with many fan favorites not making it to the finals. Do not miss this amazing showcase of dedication and technique.
Today, the rest of the tournament will be shown on the main stream from beginning to end for all five games. First up is BlazBlue: CS2, then it’s Tekken 6, Mortal Kombat, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.
Here’s the schedule for the rest of the tournament. The time below are PDT (GMT -7 hours).
- 10:00 AM – BlazBlue Continuum Shift 2
- 12:00 PM – Tekken 6
- 2:00 PM – Mortal Kombat
- 5:00 PM – Marvel vs. Capcom 3
- 7:00 PM – Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition
- 9:00 PM – Closing Ceremonies
EVO 2011 is also being streamed in PlayStation Home. The stream is still unwatchable after a few minutes. It’s really a shame that Sony couldn’t provide a worthwhile experience. Today’s prize for attending is a replica EVO 2011 trophy for your personal Home Space.
Tournament Recap
Saturday was pure craziness with so many upsets in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Justin Wong pulled off an amazing comeback with only a slither of health against an opponent that who two characters left. Wong had no X-Factor to help overcome the odds. He instead had to rely on pure skill. It’s definitely an EVO moment.

Combofiend also had one of the most unbelievable comebacks at EVO 2011. It starts during the final match, which is about 5 minutes into the video.

I had never heard of this tournament until yesterday or so, caught most of the MVC3 and it was a blast. Will watch today’s finals of SF and MCV3.
It’s a shame Naruto Shippuden isn’t there, since it’s Bandai/Namco game and all :/
Delriach
:D yay that was my goal! Glad you enjoyed it!

Ohw…REO threw away the match. PLegend is really aggressive but he knew how to beat him. Too many mistakes in the second 3 out of 5..
Delriach
Yeah, I’m not sure what happend during that second set. He was doing some well! I don’t like the character switch either. Still, very good games! Kung Lao is a very tough match for Mileena.

Good job with the coverage of EVO, Delriach! You made me want to buy Mortal Kombat, but I think I’ll hold on to my moolah until MvsC3U hits later this year.
BTW, there won’t be any Capcom-y better version release of MK9, will there? If not I might get that too. And the next Tekken (there’s always one coming).
And I’m truly awful at fighting games, but they are very good fun with friends and that makes it worth it for me.
Delriach
no problem! There is no word on an ultimate Mortal kombat or anything like that. I wouldn’t be against it happening though…
