One of the very first PSN titles, Lemmings, is getting an upgrade, according to Cohort Studios who have been “contracted by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe to add E-Commerce and trophies” to the game, according to their site. We presume E-Commerce means downloadable content, so look out for new levels alongside those all-important Trophies.
No further details are available, but we’ll get in touch with the studio to see if we can find out any more.
Thanks, M Skånberg.

Did mouse support ever turn up for this? I tried it with the controller but just wasn’t for me.

I enjoyed this to begin with but got stuck and kinda gave up. This is a good excuse to get back to it

Awesome news – the original Lemmings is one of my favourite games of all time, and the PSN version was the first game I ever downloaded from the PS Store.

How long did it take you to find “å” on the keyboard?

Probably not as long as it took to copy and paste!

It’s pretty good, yeah. Seem to remember it only has about 45 levels or so but if you’re a fan of Lemmings then you’ll like it. It adds new features such as teleporters and clone machines, which really make you think.

I love the Lemmings series and still play the old DOS games. The PSN version was fun so I’ll look forward to any new levels.
Trophies are a nice bonus as well.

I was enjoying this back in the beginning! I don’t think I got very far as I think Uncharted came out not long after I downloaded it and well I still find it hard not to play it over all my other games.
Trophies will probably draw me back to Lemmings I can imagine them being really really hard though!

Loving the support for these older titles. Now if only someone would update MGS4 with trophies.

If only! Pretty much guaranteed that it’s never gonna happen unfortunately though. I would be happy for it tothough and also if Saint’s Row 2 and Heavenly Sword got trophies that would be awesomes!

Hmm, haven’t even really noticed lemmings on the store. Might think about this one, I do like those little dudes.

Not played my PSN copy of Lemmings for quite a while now. It’s a really fun little game that i would recommend if you missed it when it was released on PSN. I’m sure there was a demo so you could try that out first if your not sure if it would be for you.

I remember watching a friend play lemmings on MS-DOS but i never quite understood it. Perhaps if i am bored one day i shall buy it and see what all the fuss is about

Well if lemmings can do it, there’s nothing to stop other PSN games from adding a patch and a bit of DLC! Retail games are different, but i’d definately consider giving Lemmings a go now.

Sony are patching quite a few old games for trophies. Trophies for tony hawks proving ground would be welcomed
