We’ve just had exclusive word from the smashing guys at Creat that there’ll be a free demo of their awesome strategy game Mushroom Wars this week in Europe, with one to follow on December 10th for the American market. As Peter said in our 8/10 review, Mushroom Wars is a very fun game with little to criticise, a look and feel that fits with the gameplay perfectly and a subtle but impressive amount of strategy at certain points giving plenty of opportunity to replay this compelling game.

I’m with you. The review made it sound pretty cool, cute animation and some neat, but not taxing, strategy.
Roll on the demo come Thursday, if I can tear myself away from MW2 Sabotage…

Great news, nofi. This is what we’re all banging on about when we want Sony to make demos mandatory. I’ve been umming and ahhing over this and the demo should hopefully win me over. If not, they haven’t lost my money as I hadn’t made the purchase up to now anyway.

I think you’ll like it, although it obviously depends on how far the demo goes. Hopefully it’s a sampling of a few of the levels.
