Hot on the heels of the new map and double XP weekend, Naughty Dog have just announced that they will be launching a ‘Plunder Only’ playlist in time for the weekend. This is the result of last month’s poll which they held their website, where visitors could vote for new playlists, the options being; Plunder Only, Crushing: All Game Types, Crushing: Deathmatch Only and Deathmatch Variants Only. The top two results were Plunder Only and a split between the two Crushing options, so based on this community feedback the new Plunder Only playlist will go live at 18:00 [GMT] on Friday.
This isn’t the only change as rather than implement the Crushing only playlists in addition to Plunder and causing things to become cluttered, Naughty Dog are running an experiment for this weekend only and reducing players health in multiplayer modes to 65% of the normal, which is identical to Crushing mode, but you’ll still have the ability to choose boosters. Naughty Dog will be launching a new poll on their website designed to solicit feedback from users, so make sure you use it as it’s not often a developer is so in touch with its community.

Oooook then…@seedripper, you meant ”F.I.R.S.T”…notice you missed the ”T” at the end. Back to the reason there is a comment section; I really like what Naughty Dog is doing. They sold their product, an almost perfect one at that, and continue to improve it, and make it more enjoyable. If only IW would be so kind to the MW2 owners…we shall see =)

Totally agree. Other developers should use the fact they can freely update their game for improvents rather than using it to fix mistakes they made trying to get it out by release date.

The new playlist is a good addition, Plunder is my favourite of all the game modes. The 65% health experiment wil be interesting! Maybe it will be possible to actually kill somebody with the low accuracy standard weapons. On the other hand this will mean that I’ll spend at least 50% of the match time in the respawn screen.

I think it’ll be interesting too, there are loads of times I empty a whole magazine into people but as long as they roll away at the very last fraction of a second they usually survive and end up killing me.
I’m going to be sure to give them feedback on this one.

Might give this a go. I have played the multiplayer a few times but have never ventured away from Team Deathmatch (other than a brief co-op) so I have no idea what the modes are like to play.

Hmm, I really must try the MP side of this.. I love the game, but the MP beta was a bit unimpressive, so kind of put me off the full version. I guess this is a good a time as any to give it another go…

Good to see new ideas in the multiplayer. More people need to join the TSA meets for this game. it was really good last night even if i forgot all the controls after playing AC2

I know what you mean!! I’ve been totally absorbed by AC2 lately, but I keep meaning to go back to UC2. I might try and get some MP practice in this weekend and maybe sign up for next week’s UC2 meet.
