Would be awesome playing as Isaac from Dead Space!
This game looks like a copy of God of War… but a fantastic copy, it’s brilliant!
Day one buy for me.

That is awesome. Loving the Dead Space cross over costume. Both scary and funny at the same time.

That’s just ruined it for me. They spend a fortune making it gory and hell like and hopefully orginal. A world that you could believe is the 7 circles of helll. And then they drop Isaac Clarke in. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Really fecking stupid.

Isn’t 9 circles of hell?

Gays only get seven circles.

I actually agree, I think it’s stupid and can’t see why any will want to play as Issac… but it doesn’t ruin it for me, as I’m not going to use the option.

When taking games too serious goes wrong…
I’d never use the costume myself but then again, I don’t have to. So why even bother? Let people who enjoy silly stuff in serious games have their fun with it.

You’re right, it would ruin the atmosphere/feel of the game. Won’t stop me buying it though.

Totally agree. They spend time and money creating a ‘new’ ip and then put a different familiar property in it. Weird….

Next they’ll be trying to drop sci-fi characters with laser swords into a fighting game set in the middle ages!

The more I read and see about this game the more I want to avoid it. I have stated on TSA quite a few times that I have been really really looking forward to this game because I have read and loved the Dante poems. The Inferno poem is a deep, thought provoking journey through the depths of hell. He does not go into hell with a 7ft long sword, superpowers and a massive urge to kills everything in his path. Done properly and with integrity it could be a decent game but all the signs point to a sell-out of the base material. 2 words describe my experiences of watching trailers and reading articles like the one above – Let Down.

The thing is: makeing a game of the original material without any adjustments and selling it to all 14 people who actually care wouldn’t be such a wise descission. The poem itself descibes a fictional situation. Why not make the game about it actually fun to play?

I agree but in that case, why bother calling it Dante’s Inferno, call it ‘Hells Gateway’ or something like that (I will never win awards for my creativity, LOL), I am gonna make a video game of the film American Beauty, and I am gonna have Kevin Spacey save the planet by destroying all the worlds WMD’s

This is the main point that grates with me about this.. If they have to change the material in order to make the game fun, then they shouldn’t make the game at all.. Or make it fun and call it something different. (like oh, say God of War, perhaps?)

I liked Dead Space but i’m not really pushed about the costume. I’m more interested in playing the demo, i think it’ll be on the US store this week….;)

what the F is with GAME getting a load of exclusive versions? >_>
i don’t think this edition has enough to sway my purchase this time around specially with a steep price tag (50 quid?) on a new IP…

I actually think it’s good that GAME get something. They’re starting to suffer due to ASDA and Tesco etc, so if an exclusive for them means a few extra sales then I’m all for it.

This game is awesome, absolutely awesome but you go in to hell because of your missus, so what the hell has another character got to do with that.
Doesn’t put me off though as Dante’s is the most amazing demo I’ve played, and the dual path of ‘punish or absolution’ will add at least a couple of playthroughs. And the upgrading is directly influenced by the teams work on Dead Space but again has 2 paths Holy & Unholy.
This game is joint top of my 2010 wanted list along with GoWIII
With this and Dead Space, Visceral are my studio to watch as they have always got some awesomesauce going on.

Oh no. The Isaac costume ruins the realism of hacking and slashing my way through Hell. Woe is me.

Will just get the normal edition, to be honest.
In 2010, my wallet can’t afford any special editions.
Nothing to worry about though, nothing really catching my eye in this edition anyway.

“Thanks AJ”
With this and the PS3 exclusive edition, it seems that EA is really pushing to get PS3 owners to get their game because of the competition from GoW.

There were a limited number of codes released a while back – I don’t know if they’ll be releasing the demo openly soon – they may as well now Dante’s is out in the US
