PS3 To Get Native Version Of Tetris

10EA’s Tetris is the only Minis title that currently doesn’t run on the PS3, despite being one of the most requested games for Sony’s console. However, that’s going to change this year because EA are working on a bespoke, HD version of the all-time classic rather than just allowing the Minis port to run.
“EA are currently working on a PS3 version of Tetris that will take full advantage of the capabilities of the PS3,” said Adam Grant on the EU PlayStation Blog today, “and provide the best experience.” There’s no date specified, sadly, but Grant has told us to “look for this version to be available later this year.” Let’s hope they take full advantage of the hardware.
