Nurofen Extra on standby: Ubisoft are talking about combining 3D gaming with Natal. Speaking to Techradar, Ubisofts’s Executive Producer of Avatar, Patrick Naud, said,
“[3D] was a great experience for our team… any time we can get out there and be one of the first on a new technology like this, you get a boost of creativity, and we had a lot of fun coming up with great ways to use the innovation to make a game that puts the player right into the environment and action.”
“I personally see a lot of potential with combining 3-D with Natal, these two technologies together will bring us even more immersive experience to gameplay.”

Microsoft haven’t been very keen on 3D – unless they’re holding something back for E3 (or another conference).

Yup, this is the first talk I’ve heard linking MS to 3D other than Microsoft saying the 360 is 3D ready.
Sony will certainly be hoping that Microsoft launch 3D, for the sake of their TV business.

3D or no 3D. I think Natal will trail behind the Arc in sales. Can’t wait for the Arc!

I’d be surprised if this was the case. I’m certain as a useable product Arc will be better, it will not sell more.
MS have already succeeded in drumming up such a fuss about it its ludicrous, it will sell extremely well unfortunately, thus compounding the already too prevailent style and marketing over substance way of driving sales.

Makes perfect sense. Patrick Naud is obviously keen to give us gamers the chance to actually reach into the screen and throttle that little Milo bastard.

I think the sort of audience they’re aiming milo at won’t want to throttle him when they reach into the screen.
