3D PS3 Firmware Update Soon?

96TheSixthAxis has heard on the grapevine that development versions of the next firmware update for the PS3 have been issued recently, for so-called “debug” consoles.
The update, which is believed to contain little more than 3D support for new 3D TVs will presumably follow at some point for standard consoles, although most believe this will not be until July.
We can’t confirm these rumours for ourselves so we’re labeling this post as such, but it’s worth mentioning that it’s been previously confirmed by Sony that a new firmware would be required for 3D.
We’ll check with SCEE in the morning and let you know.
