Halo: Reach Creative Director Marcus Lehto has revealed that the studio are about to “drop a multiplayer bomb on the world today”.
The developer was speaking via the Halo: Reach Dev Blog where he said,
Our first full campaign playtest results came back today. Good news, we’re scoring very well – better than we have with the other games at this stage in the project! We learned lots of good things about how to make this game even better. I love this kind of feedback. It’s often hard to see little problems when you’re so close to the project. So, it’s always good to have a 3rd party kick us in the junk regarding the parts of the project they don’t like. Fortunately, those kicks were minimal and all expected, so we’re on to the next big playtest.
On another note, I hope you all like the MP bomb we’re about to drop on the world in about a day. Enjoy!
There was a “super-secret” multiplayer mode hinted back in January, so perhaps that’s what he’s talking about, either way you can bet that there are a few Halo fans out there with sweaty palms today.
