Take-Two have today announced their financial results for the first quarter which ended on January 31, 2010.

Net revenue for the first fiscal quarter was $163.2 million, compared to $149.4 million for the same quarter of fiscal 2009. First quarter fiscal 2010 sales were led by Borderlands, NBA 2K10, Grand Theft Auto IV, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City and Carnival Games.

The companies Net loss from continuing operations for the first quarter was $33.8 million which has fell from $53.8 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2009.

One of the highlights for the company included the sales of Bioshock 2 which so far has shipped over 3 million units to date, which isn’t bad considering that the original BioShock title has now sold over 4 million units since launch.

Take Two also revealed that NBA 2K10 from 2K Sports has shipped over 2 million units, although the really big sales come from Grand Theft Auto IV from Rockstar Games which has sold over 15 million units globally.

Furthermore, the company revealed the titles that it has lined up for the next fiscal quarter, these include Red Dead Redemption from Rockstar Games, which is now planned for release on May 18, 2010 in North America and May 21, 2010 internationally and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City for the PlayStation 3, which is planned for release on March 30, 2010.

Finally Take Two revealed that releases for the fourth fiscal quarter of 2010 will include L.A. Noire, Mafia II, Max Payne 3 and Sid Meier’s Civilization V.
