Sony Looking To Rival Iphone

The Wall Street Journal are reporting that Sony is developing a new lineup of handheld products, “including a smart phone capable of downloading and playing PlayStation games”, this they say is “according to people familiar with the matter”.
The newspaper are reporting that the new device will “blurs distinctions among a netbook, an e-reader and a PlayStation Portable, or PSP”. Reports also suggest that the device is designed to compete against Apple products such as the iphone, ipad and ipod touch.
In our opinion this would be a great move on Sony’s part given that the Playstation Network is starting to come into its own in terms of Comics, Games and now Videos to buy and rent. Any competition would also be welcome as this would help push the technology to the next level.
