Alan Wake, the game that our very own Peter said was “worth keeping an eye on” when he played it at X10, will be the first ‘episode’ of at least two.  “We’ve always thought of Alan Wake as being a bigger thing than just the one game,” said Remedy’s Oskari Hakkinen speak to Edge this month.

“When you get Alan Wake in your hands,” he said, “you can think of this as season one.  We’ll leave some doors open: we’ve planned for a bigger story arc.”  So will there be anything in between this game and the sequel?  “We’ve thought of DLC, that’ll be a bridge between season one and season two,” said Hakkinen.

He says the DLC will be like a “Christmas Special”, presumably dating the extra content in the process. It’ll be something that will “give  you a different perspective on the stuff you’ve played in season one,” says the head of franchise development.
