Whilst our very Tuffcub was in attendance at yesterday’s press reveal for Codemasters’ F1 2010 game, he didn’t, to my knowledge, record some off-screen footage – thankfully, though, this guy did. Looks visually stunning – the rain in particular looks superb – although is that a central pivot point I see?
Let’s hope not.

It looks real nice and all, but the handling just looks wrong :/
I don’t know why, maybe it is just that central pivot thing.

Ignoring the guys spelling… quite a good video.
I guess they can be forgiven for completely missing their braking points, particularly in the rain, as the “breaks” as he called them weren’t tweaked properly.
Definitely early days though. I hope AI was on easy…

Yeah he went past hamilton a bit took easily. The spin afterwards looked pretty real.

Slightly off topic… does anybody here use the Fantasy F1 league at PlanetF1.com?

I am slightly disappointed in this video (I am aware it is pre alpha) I don’t like the central pivot steering, which was one of my main concerns when Codemasters announced they had the licence. The other things I don’t like is the drivers name above the car, hope you will be able to turn that off… and finally I hate the HUD.. it is awful, I want the HUD to resemble EXACTLY the graphics seen on TV. Hopefully it is a placeholder HUD. Oh and please, please, PLEASE have a controller option where it is X to accelerate and Square to brake… None of this R2 nonsense please.

Looks really nice. Hopefully the ropey looking handling will be down to it being pre alpha.
The AI looks much more intelligent then previous F1 games as the drivers looked to cover overtaking in the corners but it also looked like it reacted to where you were on the track, which is something that many racing games dont.
Also I really like the way the tyres get covered in gravel when you went in the kitty litter.
