XBox Gets USB Memory Support

21

Welcome to the 21st century. Sort of.

Microsoft is set to release a firmware update that will allow XBox owners to use USB memory sticks and hard drives with their consoles. Good times! Unfortunately you will only be able to use 16gig if space. Bad times!

Although you can attach larger capicity devices the Xbox will only allocate a maximum of 16 gig for use and you can have a maximum of two devices giving you a total 32gigs of space. I’m not entirely sure why they are limiting space – other than to make you shell out for an official 250 gig MS external hard drive.
