Activision’s upcoming Spider-Man game, Shattered Dimensions, has been scheduled for release. Prepare to catch thieves ‘just like flies’ in September, 2010.
We’ve already been treated to a video showing off 2 of the 4 Spider-Man dimensions which will be featured within the game and the press release promises that each version of the web-slinging super hero will be different, featuring their own art style and play mechanics.
For those of you wondering how this game will work over four different Spider-Man worlds, Dan Slott – acclaimed Marvel writer – has penned a story based around an object called the Tablet of Order and Chaos. As the game’s title would suggest, this tablet has been shattered and scattered across paralell universes. It’s this that enables us to get to grips with 4 different versions of Spider-Man as he tries to reclaim the energy of the tablet and restore the fabric of reality.
The game will also feature some of the fan’s favourite Spidey villains including a never-before-seen Noir version of Hammerhead.
