Speaking in the EU Blog comments yesterday, James Gallagher, content product at SCEE confirmed that recent reveals such as LittleBigPlanet 2 and Killzone 3 aren’t all Sony have up their sleeve.
“There’s plenty left, rest assured,” he said. “Lots of games and surprises.”
We’re reliably informed that the LittleBigPlanet 2 reveal was never intended for E3, and although the Killzone 3 confirmation was brought forward due to the leaks at the weekend, that too was originally meant for pre-E3.
“Our PR team will have their reasons [on why two of Sony's biggest games have been revealed before the big expo],” said Gallagher. “We have a lot of games in the pipeline and it’s logistically easier to space them out a bit, I suppose.”
“Plus, it makes sure they get some good media coverage before the information avalanche of E3.”
Gallagher also mentions a speculative date for a trailer for Killzone 3. “If I was to hazard a guess,” he said, “I suggest E3 if not before.”
