Reporting on LittleBigPlanet costume packs is a little like covering the weather. Often it’s good, sometimes it’s a little bit damp, but one thing’s for sure – there’s always going to be more of it.
We’re highlighting a new LBP DLC pack for the main reason that, if we were going to dress up our little Sackpeople as iconic figures, we wouldn’t bother with leprechauns, Street Fighter characters or bloody Santa Claus. No, we’d want to dress them up as Wolverine or Elektra. Lucky us, we’ll soon get our chance.
Announced over at Marvel.com, a whole gaggle of famous comic characters are coming to the sandbox game. Who’s made the grade? Here’s the roll call.
Apart from the new costumes, there will also be a “magnificently massive Marvel Level Kit,” which includes “four levels of adventure pitting your Sackpeople against the evil plans of Magneto.”

Same here. That’s one huge amount of costumes on top of the other content. I would imagine the price will match, though will the announcement that LBP DLC will be compatible with LBP2 it makes the idea of investing more cash into the game more appealing than it would be if it was going to be redundant in a few months time.

No trophies, it’s a level kit not a premium level kit!

Mmm, certainly sounds like a premium level kit to me, even if they aren’t announcing it as such. Four levels of adventure where you’re pitted against Magneto doesn’t sound like the usual showcase level kits…

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Media Molecule and their super awesome skills!
