Man Plays Coconut Dodge

Sometimes you don’t have to show the actual game itself – no, instead, invite people over, have some beer and then video them trying to beat your game.  In this laugh-out-loud video watch John Steels trying to pass level 9 of Coconut Dodge’s Maze Master mode – something that takes him 31 attempts.

Coconut Dodge is one of the best games on the Minis platform, and if you’ve not yet checked it out please do so – it’s brilliant fun and the latest update has added a few really, really cool little surprises (bloody Keepy Uppey mode is ridiculously addictive) that mean the game is even better value for money.

And if you have played it, let the developers know what you think here in our forum where James from the team is answering your questions.

And it looks bastard mental!! pray tell, can i just buy this on the PSN for PS3? as i dont have a PSP :(

    • Yep, all minis can be played on your PS3.

    • it’s a PSP mini, so you can play it quite happily on PS3… It just won’t look so pretty.

I really wish Sony followed Apple’s lead with the iPad and new iPhone 4 screen (or had pioneered it) and got the devs to put in true 720p, rather than run it through a PSP emulator of some sort which, quite frankly, looks like arse compared to a PSP screen.

  2. The chap in the video was playing on PS3, and it worked for him :p

It’s cool with the analog sticks.

  3. cheers lads, i’ll pick this up tomorrow, it’s exactly the type of game to get me smashing my telly in! ;)

    • Ace, let us know what you think! :)

  4. This game is utter brilliant as stated by me a few times :P

Real shame to hear about the sales though James, I’ve managed to get 4 people to buy it including me.

Think I’ll up the game by going to every house near me and forcing them to buy it or they’ll get crabs (Damn that was bad) lol

  5. Ha, good effort :)

Thank you for showing the game to your friends :)

  6. Hmmm. This has got me tempted now. I love a good challenge but please tell me it’s easier than Demon’s Souls.

    • It’s designed to tease you in, teach you moves you never thought you could pull, and then gives you insurmountable challenges that you can surmount, making you feel like god.

It’s all in the video folks :)

  7. Epic beardness.

  8. This sounds like proper old school arcade level of difficulty. Wish I could play it.

  9. LOL yeah maze master 9, that took me rather alot of attempts too, very satisfying when you finish it. Every PS3 owner should try this game :)

  10. It’s worth mentioning to those without a PSP is yes the graphics don’t look great, but if you sit a few feet from your TV, turn the sharpness down, squint a little bit and hold your arms out in front of you, it’s like you’re playing a GIANT PSP!

    Which is pretty cool :p
