We may not see PlayStation Plus content rolling out in bulk each month as we expected. A tweet from the Official US PlayStation page has said that content will “continue to roll out all month, so stay tuned!” This was in particular reference to Fieldrunners and dynamic themes that the US subscribers are yet to receive.
The US PlayStation Blog has added some weight to this. A comment from Susan Panico (Sr. Director of the PlayStation Network) says that “the content per month isn’t determined as day one content and is content that will be made available through the month.”
It’s unclear if this will be the same in Europe, but a comment from Ross McGrath on the EU PlayStation Blog yesterday said the list will “only change once a month.” It may be the case that the content that has already been announced will simply be spread out over the month in the US and Europe will see it all at the start of the month. Until anything is confirmed, keep an eye on the PlayStation Store for any changes.

I wonder if it’ll change when people sign up (during any given month).
Kevling
I imagine this is to stop people signing up mid-month to get the equivalent of 13 months of content instead of 12
G_The_Enemy14
That’s what I thought.
Also, where do you get LBP from because I signed up for PS+ yesterday and I couldn’t find it?
Kronik76
When you first go into the store there’s a link to a section dedicated to PS+. You’ll find it in there.
G_The_Enemy14
I looked in there, I couldn’t see it but will look again. Is it only if you get a whole year? Because i got the 90 day subscription
Raa
I believe LBP is only for the full year.
hunterstryfe
Yeah it’s only if you subscribe to the full year. There is even a window in PS+ Store that says 1 Year=LittleBigPlanet
Kevling
Also, if content can be rolled out throughout the month, I presume it can be rolled back in again?
Charmed_Fanatic
Each month sounds better, so people can get the stuff if they mid-month signup and also plan for the months coming

Now it all makes sense, no wonder the PSN is a bit of a mess that crashes constantly, is a bit slow and a lot of the functions haven’t been implemented properly…… There’s a woman driving it !! :D *please don’t hit me Katy ! *
on another note, I was under the impression that we would be getting weekly content already …. :S
DJ-Katy
Bitch.
TheShepanator
Women are genetically inferior. Men are mentally inferior.
YOURMUMANDME
That comment makes inferior sense….inferior

all seems like to much work to me. Just list the content and update the list each month, and let who ever is a member download it?!?! Regardless of what month someone signed up.
If it gets 6 months down the line and someone looks at all the stuff they could download, then Sony will have more chance of that person signing up for the year. Just because someone signs up earlier, they shouldnt have access to diffrent dlc than the people who sign up for Plus the next month, it will lessen the atractiveness of PSN+ for many.
…or is that not the case already?
jimmy-google
You just get access to content added while you’re a subscriber not content added in months before you subscribe.
So if you’re a subscriber for 12 months you get 12 months of content. If you’re a subscriber for 3 months you get 3 months of content. Seems fair to me.
bajere
yea i agree that you only get the content for the life of your subcription, otherwise people would subcribe for a month a year down the line, then quit. But i think they should just open up all content to all PSN+ users regardless of sign up date. So you pay for the service that includes; xyz amount of games, demos, icons, wallpapers ect ect, then once you unsubcribe the content is barred. It may seem unfair to people who subscibe day one and get the same content as people who subsribe day 101, but the day 1 users would of had access to the content for the 100 days more. thus balancing it out.
They way it is now is like me subscribing to LoveFilm today, but only getting DVD’s and Games that get released after today. seems a bit crap to me.
newsky87
In other words they haven’t got all the content ready on time so it will be a few days/weeks late.
Credit where it’s due for SCEE they managed to get everything on their list ready for launch day.
simplebob
Does make a nice change that we have content before the US.
jimmy-google
I’ve actually seen American’s on Kotaku complaining in the comments section that Europe keeps getting content before them.
I think it’s quite often a case of you always want what you haven’t got (and when you’ve got it you don’t want it anymore).
cam the man
It’s not often in the games industry that us Eurpeans get things before those across the pond.
But it’s a lot better now than it was a few years ago.
IOMDutch
This does seem to happen more and more often. We often get Store content days before the Yanks. There PS+ looks pretty miserable aswell. No LBP no Wipeout not much to warrant the $50 price tag.
TSBonyman
Hopefully there will be something to tempt me in the future but for now it’s the good ‘ol free PSN for me.
OptimusGoz
well im pretty sure i saw something new in this weeks update, which came after plus launched, that provided a discount for it if you were a plus member. dont ask me what it was cause i cant remember, but maybe going from that we will get it
OptimusGoz
no wait it was just that fat princess thing, ignore me.

…..on the subject of psn+ and i quote ‘automatic downloading of patches and updates’ i just put mw2 in, only to find out i needed a 14mb update. this was annoying! iv had my ps3 on for about an hour, connected online, just playing music. mw2 is DEF in my last 10 games played. anyone else with psn+ get that as well?
