The original ‘Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X’ certainly got a mixed reception. Some people claimed it was the best flight game of this generation, whilst others believed it to be a completely shallow experience – all flash and no bang.
This hasn’t stopped Ubisoft from plugging on and announcing a sequel – and judging by the newly released trailer it’s looking every bit as fast paced as the original.
If Ubisoft can fix the slightly wonky multiplayer, and make your wingmen useful rather than cannon fodder, H.A.W.X 2 could be a hit.

I only played the demo of this but was rather impressed to be fair. Just never got round to ever buying it, could probably get it super cheap online now I bet

I enjoyed the demo for the first game too, I thought the cockpit view was particularly good.

The first one was a decent Ace Combat substitute. Though it only took me a weekend to finish it. Won’t be buying the new one at full price. Give us a new Ace Combat Namco!

The first game was good but the single player was too short and too easy.

The trailer looks brilliant. Only thing I disliked about HAWX was the view. The ‘God view’ was soo annoying! I would prefer it to be that you can turn assists off and just fly in cockpit view, far more realistic and fun imo.

I loved it for one reason; it was the only proper jet fighter game I could get on the PS3. It suppressed my craving for a PS3 Ace Combat though, but I’m still waiting for Project Aces to get their arse into gear and deliver us a proper Ace Combat 7.
