Remember the Kick-Ass game? No me neither, it popped up on the PSN and then vamoosed. The publishers have decided to give it a second lease of life (in the US at least) by reducing the price of the game down to $9.99 as of… now!
“Featuring multiple environments within New York City, players will be faced with twelve story missions plus 2 bonus rounds and encounter frantic super hero action as they face petty thugs and powerful mob bosses,” said Howard Horowitz, Founder and CEO of WHA Entertainment, Inc.
So is the game worth a punt at the cheaper price? Well the highest scoring review on Metacritic for Kick-Ass states “If only it wasn’t so highly priced,” so that is encouraging. What is less encouraging is a Metacritic rating of just 33. And yes, I did just write this up for the cheap pun headline.

Few PSN pals have this and said it was pant’s.

i think cheap ass instead of cheaper ass would have been a better headline.
but that’s just my opinion.
the game looked like it might have been shortlived fun, would have liked to have tried it, shame there wasn’t a demo, but if it’s as bad as everybody says that might have put people off.

It wasn’t a terrible game, but I wouldn’t have bought it if I had tried it out first. Perhaps worth a few quid but by no means a must

Yes, I do remember the game. $14.99 originally IIRC. Was horrible. Even FirstPlay managed to get something right for once by giving it a 4 out of 10 rating.

Someone please remind this guy that the game is a complete failure….
manicmushrom
never played the game but looked like it was going to suck, just like the movie!
