Hyperkin Announce Move Accessories

23

For those who don't want a Buck Rogers gun.

Hyperkin have announced two new accessory packs to attach to your Move controller. The first pack is designed for use with Sports Champions and features a shield, sword, bow and table tennis paddle. The second pack is a gun module which looks rather more grown up than the red ‘Buck Rogers’ style gun from Sony.

Obviously they add nothing to the games themselves and are purely cosmetic but for those of you don’t want to look like a tit waving a glowing ball about can now look like a tit waving a plastic sword. It’s ever so slightly cooler.

But only slightly.

  1. Pew, pew, pew!

They look like something firing a ping pong ball.
Also, haven’t these guys heard of Augmented Reality, which is half the point of the camera

Looks like half of these would obscure the move sphere… perhaps that adds extra challenge?

      • That was my first thought too Jesse , they must obscure the sphere surely ?

      • Maybe those games use the accelerometers and all that lot instead of the ball tracking? That’s surely the only way it could work. If not then a major LOL for making a product that won’t work.

  2. errr, how can i do a backhand with the table tennis paddle? surely the ball will be hidden from the camera thus the game won’t be able to track its movements….

  3. While I never really understand the need to buy things like swords and bats when you are holding the hilt anyway, gun peripherals are always more immersive I find as otherwise you feel like you are shooting things with a remote control.

  6. Pink? Seriously? All the peripherals look like they are blowing bubble gum.
Didn’t anyone tell them that Sony is at least trying to convince the public that they are targeting the hardcore demographic with this?

  7. I’m pretty sure that there are holes on the paddle, bow, sword and shield so the sphere can be seen from both sides.

  8. Is it wrong to be tempted by these?

    • Yes, very wrong!

      (unless you’re 6)

      • I’m tempted with the gun, more than anything else. Easier for long periods playing on-rail shooters. Am I correct in thinking that there is a official Sony gun attachment, though?

There’s your official Buck Rogers pea shooter. Looks kinda cool actually. :D

  9. somebody needs to make a proper rifle version of this, not just pistols.

    • I was thinking the same thing. This is brilliant for a game like Time Crisis but a gun attachment needs to be made that can hold the navigation controller for the games like KZ3 and Socom that requires the navigation controller

  10. They still look like sex toys to me.
