I’m in two minds about these videos. On the upside they do show lots of awesome things we have not seen in Killzone 3 and Gran Turismo 5  but on the downside they are all recorded by someone filming the screen with a mobile phone rather than an official video in crisp HD.

You can make your own minds up if you want to press play, just don’t complain about the quality if you do.

  1. Why is everyone so crap at GT5?!

    • Perhaps they couldn’t believe they where actually witnessing real gameplay fooage

    • using a pad and not a wheel. GT5 seems to only be nice to control via wheel…

      • I was never this shite at Prologue and I was using a pad. That is no excuse for massive overcompensation on corners or constantly running onto the grass

      • ive always been shit at GT, but im hoping to put a lot more time and effort into this one!

      • I was brilliant at GT3 A-Spec, I spent months perfecting every racing line trying to shave a hundredth off my times, progressing through the ranks but lost my way after that.

GT4p ruined GT4 for me, and GTHD, GT5p, GT Academy have tipped me over the edge and I’ve completely fallen out of love with the series, and games like it, like Ferrari/Supercar Challenge etc

For me, this year’s racing thrills have been all about Split/Second and then there’s NfS:HP on the horizon… Can’t wait.

      • This comment is hidden.

      • hoping F1 will keep me entertained long enough to enable me to pick GT5 up at a bargain price!

  2. Who was that talking about public beta in killzone :o

    • Yeah I heard that too

“Tweet your feedback on the hands-on time and get put into a draw for the public bay-tah”

Will be a missed opportunity for PS+ if they don’t get an early look at that.

      • If it’s a public beta then I see no reason PS+ wont have it. If we don’t get it the EU blog will go mad lol

  3. It still looks like a graphical upgrade to GT4 and little else although I liked how the dust (at night-time) turned red as the brake lights flicked on. Very nice touch.

    • Funny how the tires spit dust up while in the air. It looked like the car was on fire. Very weird…

  4. I get fed up watching these mobile camera vids. GT5 looks great, still can’t see what more it offers that the ones before, other than karting and rallying and better graphics, oh and Top Gear track, but it still looks great.

    • With you on this one Bilbo, WTF have they been doing for 5 Years?

Always been a massive GT fan but TBH the more I see of GT5 the less interested I am in it. I think the genre has moved on with regards to making even realistic racing games fun and exciting (GRID, NFS:Shift) and PD have been left behind.

Where’s the joy????? Looks like a tech demo for a new graphics engine etc. rather than a game. So disappointed….

  5. I hope the load times are a bit quicker come release.

  6. Multiplayer KZ looks about the same concept

    • Other than the menu I can’t see any difference between KZ3 MP and the KZ2 Mp I was playing last night? Or is it just me?

      Whats changed?

  7. Just watched the R8 Indianapolis video. Nice to see the AI is as poor as ever with everyone blindly following the prescribed racing line…

Also the car dimensions look off, when the R8 overtakes the GTR it looks about half the size of the Nissan, but in reality it is a wider car. Odd.

  8. for the Nordschleif (sp?) vid, the load time was ~26s from the point the GT logo appeared. they have a couple of months til release and this demo’s 3GB right? so no 10GB install to enquicken load times. there’s no need to worry chaps.

    • Loading times are the least of my concerns for GT5.

  9. GT5 vids look pretty good, why is everyone a crap driver though?!

  10. Still looks amazing!
