New TGS FFXIV Trailer is Glorious

It even delivers a PS3 release date. It's that good.

They might have some issues finding the necessary RAM to make Final Fantasy XIV work on the PS3, but that hasn’t stopped Square Enix from knocking it out of the park when it comes to producing scintillating CGI for their upcoming Final Fantasy MMO. Check out this near-eight minute romp through the land of Eorzea released especially for this week’s Tokyo Games Show. If this doesn’t make you want to spend hundreds of hours grinding Chocobos, we don’t know what will.

The trailer also confirms a release date for the PS3 incarnation. Sun-hating troglodytes, we hope you have your Cheetos stockpiled for March 2011.

Thanks VG247

  1. That looks absolutly stunning!
Skip the game and make a series of it ;)

Still not sure about this though, will have to see when the time comes!

  2. It sure looks pretty doesn’t it. Will get this for sure, hated how 13 was so linear when my favourite part of FF is the open worlds and talking to old random people about their missing granddaughter/chocobo. Loved the epic dragon but, just like 13, the weird Aussie accents freak me out

    • Uh, i think these were british accents.

    • Indeed.
However, they also did a perfect job of convincing me that XIII was a brilliant game through their dastardly trailers. I’ve learnt my lesson, no day one purchases for square enix no more! Multi platform has made them go soft. Maybe.

  5. Been playing the PC beta but I’m going to get this game for the PS3, as a couple of my mates are going to be playing on the trusty black box when it comes out.

  9. is that bahamut? looks like it could be.

these cg trailers for mmos do look pretty damn awesome, but they always feature stuff you can never do in game.
