PSN Going Down For Maintenance: Today

Just as heads up: the PlayStation Network is going down for maintenance in two hours, for four hours.

From 4PM BST until 8PM BST you won’t be able to sign into the PlayStation Network, although you may still be able to use the PSN if you’re already signed in (and don’t sign out).

Account Management, PlayStation Store and Account Registration will all be unavailable throughout the maintenance regardless of whether you’re in before 4PM or not.  Sign in via the web (such as the official PlayStation Forums) will be unaffected.

Update: Looks like there’s been a change of heart over in Sony-land. A subsequent tweet by the official PlayStationEU account states:

“Ignore the previous tweet about PSN maintenance – it has been cancelled.”

Thanks, MusterBuster.

  1. Why schedule maintenance for busier periods?

    • Because their sadists.

      • they’re :P

      • That’s the second day in a row now that’s happened. I seriously need a spell check.

      • A spell check wouldn’t pick that up. It was spelt correctly, just used in the wrong context.

  2. Oh well, i dont start till 8pm anyway :D

  3. Ah, so this is why I got booted out of Home 7 mins ago.

    • They booted you out of home because they were trying to make you realise you were wasting your time being on there.

      • I was in Home once… I bought a few stuff but I lost interest

  4. Or just play a game offline.

  5. ???? What the ???? Cancelled, what’s going on???
