Assassin’s Creed II sold well, and by the sounds of it Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood will too, so it’s no surprise that Ubisoft wants to further the series. During a financial briefing call yesterday it was reiterated that the overall goal was to make Assassin’s Creed a yearly franchise. When asked about Assassin’s Creed III in 2011 Yves Guillemot, the CEO of Ubisoft, had the following to say:
“There will be something around Assassin’s. That’s the only thing we can say.”
The first thing that springs to mind is DLC, or a portable spin off, but Ubi has supported AC II and Brotherhood with a wide variety of things, from comics to films. We look forward to seeing what’s next.

They need to slow down as there has been two assassains creed games that were/will be released. And if they pull the same stunt with brothood i will wait for the GOTY edtiton.

I thought Ubi said that they don’t want AC to become a yearly franchise?! Hence, AC3 isnt out til 2012.
I love the AC series, but I don’t want it to become a game that they feel the need to turn out each year.
