Killzone Mini-game Coming To PlayStation Home

Fresh off the heals of the Killzone 3 multiplayer maps and weapons reveal, we’ve got even more Killzone-related news to share. Starting this Thursday, there’s going to be a new Killzone mini-game in the Central Plaza of PlayStation Home.  We’ve included a trailer below so you can see it for yourself, but it looks like a stationary FPS that has you mowing down hoards of the ‘red-eyes’ as they attempt to invade Home.  The cool thing about this game is that it allows you to unlock points that can be used in Killzone 3 when it launches next month.  There’s also a new ISA outfit to be earned for your Home avatar, if you’re in to that kind of thing.

  1. Argh, Home? I don’t wanna go home…

    Sounds pretty cool though!

  2. Ahhh, ‘Home’, I remember that. Does anyone really still use that?

  3. I read the headline as “Killzone Mini-golf Coming to Playstation Home”. I’m now a little disappointed.

  4. This is just in the American Home for now. No news on the EU space. And @Amphlett Yes about 50 odd of us used it in January.

    • It’s also available to the EU, just read about it on the PS blog. You have to go to home square where you get a “transporter” to the US servers.
Think this is a great move from Home, where what you do in a mini-game can have an influence on a full title. More incentives like this will get more people coming into Home!

  5. Gonna pay a visit to home :-)

  6. Is Killzone 3 available as a download as well?
It says we can pre-order from Home, but what would the point of pre-ordering a download be?

    • It links you to Amazon, and that’s where you preorder from.

    • No, it’s over 40GB remember – I don’t think many people would want to download that over the PSN!

  7. Looks awesome, brilliant way to attract people back.
