The latest entry in the Armored Core series, due to release in 2012, will be published by Namco Bandai Games in North America and Europe. Namco’s Community Manager, Filthierich, celebrated the news by linking to the Armored Core V debut trailer and Facebook fan page.
The developers at FromSoftware are looking to revolutionize the Armored Core series by providing a robust offline mode with more content than ever before. The online mode will also be revamped and focuses on “huge team-based battles on a global scale.” According to the press release, the mechs will be smaller in size and battles will rely more on using tactics and geography than simply attacking your opponent. This doesn’t sound like Armored Core at all…
