PDP released a new video that goes in depth with the Mortal Kombat Fight Stick for the PS3 and Xbox 360. It looks absolutely fantastic.
The Mortal Kombat Fight Stick by PDP is as authentic as it gets. It’s made out of the same material used in arcade cabinets and includes genuine Suzo-Happ parts. Unlike the FightSticks from Mad Catz, the buttons for the MK stick are concave instead of convex. You’ll also notice that it uses a bat top instead of a ball top. This is as close as you’ll get to having an American style arcade cabinet without actually owning one.
It’s worth mentioning that this Fight Stick was clearly designed specifically for Mortal Kombat. It features the same klassic button layout from the arcades. It’s not going to be easy playing a game like Street Fighter.

The Tournament Edition of Mortal Kombat, which includes a copy of the game and the Fight Stick, will be available in limited quantities for the Xbox 360 and PS3 for $149.99. Alternately, you can purchase a stand alone Fight Stick for the Xbox 360 through PDP’s website for $129.99. Unfortunately, there is no word on a European release.

Any idea on price. It’s blatantly gonna be expensive and with a layout that really only supports MK, that’s gonna make it hard to justify a purchase

That fighting stick looks really nice, but I still can’t see that the new mortal combat will be a hit. I think its been too long between the previous game and this one to really “hit” home

That’s a lovely piece of kit. Think I’ll stick with just the disc though. Good video, noticeably patriotic too, not too many British videos with the same sense of patriotism.

That is the type of stick I would get but if it’s just for MK only then that puts me off with other fighting games. I still have SFIV Fighting stick.
