Sucker Punch Extending inFamous 2 Beta

The PSN blackout that gamers are currently going through is affecting more than just retail multiplayer games. Aside from apps that require the PSN to work and PSN titles that need a constant connection to the net, a particular beta is also being hindered.

We’re talking about the inFamous 2 beta. The beta revolves around user-generated content so of course, things aren’t running very smoothly right now. According to Eurogamer, you can still access and play levels that you’ve already downloaded, as well as create new levels, but uploading or downloading any of those levels is obviously not functioning.

Luckily, Sucker Punch has heard the disgruntled voice of their testers and are ready to compensate for the time lost. On their Twitter feed, they delivered the following message.

“We’ve decided to extend the beta. Once PSN is back up we’ll determine by how long, but rest assured: your outcry has been heard.”

Over on their official website, Sucker Punch has detailed the exact status of the beta in light of the PSN maintenance, as well as what you can and can’t do without access to the PSN. Be sure to head over there if you’re one of the few gamers participating.
