Battlefield 3 Gets ‘Physical Warfare Pack’

Opting for Battlefield 3 over Call of Duty this year? Then you might want to take a look at the Physical Warfare Pack, which EA have just told us will be available exclusively at GAME and Gamestation here in the UK.

The pre-order bonus contains in-game treats in the form of a Type 88 light machine gun, an SKS sniper rifle flash suppressor, armour-piercing ammo for the DAO-12 shotgun and day-one access to the shotgun itself.

In addition to those weapons, the Physical Warfare Pack also includes the Back to Karkand expansion pack, which itself features four maps from Battlefield 2 re-done in the new engine.

The press release says that the Physical Warfare Pack will be available at ‘no extra charge’ so it’s pretty much a given for anyone pre-ordering.

Neil Ashurst, Head of UK PR for GAME and Gamestation had the following to say:

“The buzz around Battlefield 3 is already incredible and we know that our customers are excited about what they’ve seen so far. This exclusive offers more to Battlefield fans that ever offered before and we know that fans won’t be disappointed with it! We are delighted to offer this UK exclusive to all of our customers, creating an even better gaming experience.”

  1. Nice! Although the Game “no extra charge” will probably be £45.

  2. I’ll be going for BF3 over COD this year. Shame this pre-order deal is only with Game/Gamestation, they’re not always the cheapest place to buy from.

    • Same as, Bad Company 2 blew me away compared to Black Ops, single player and multiplayer.

  3. Can not wait to try Karkand in all it’s Frostbite glory! Karky is ‘The’ best BF map ever made.

  4. So £40 at GAME/Gamestation for weapons I’ll be able to unlock in the game or a lot cheaper at ShopTo…..Hmmm I wonder who I’ll pick!

    • Thought the same thing, sure all these games have preorder bonuses but they only ever seem to be with the more expensive retailers. You get the BF2 maps when you preorder the limited edition anyway.

      • I panicked for a moment then , i pre-ordered using The Hut with one of those £5 off vouchers they are always emailing me . As long as i get the Karkand expansion pack thing thats fine as the weapons wont offer anything different , they will just have the same stats as a gun in the normal non GAME/Gamestation version to keep balancing fair .

  5. I’m not going to preorder till i see some PS3/ 360 gameplay. The game looks awesome on PC but i have a feeling it wont look anything like that on the home consoles.

    • cmon! its battlefield!! it’ll be brilliant

the first one looks like crap now but still plays better than most multiplayer poop out there

  6. “excited about what they’ve seen so far.” May start to feel that way, if we ever see console footage before release.

  7. Splitting the player base from the first day? Not a good idea. They should have brought these remakes out a few months down the line and let players get to grips with the new ones.

  8. So the difference between this and the limited edition you can pre-order at Amazon are the four unlocked weapons/attachments? Anyway, it’s too early to pre-order, but I’m really looking forward to BF3 :)

  9. Ill get this. Game looks insane.

  10. oh excellent, I will be pre ordering this anyway. No cod this year. Hurry up November
