Assassin’s Creed Lineage Coming To Blu-Ray/DVD

Ubisoft has recently announced that its 2009 Assassin’s Creed web-series, Lineage, will be available to purchase this November. The retail version will include the 35-minute long series as well behind the scenes footage, trailers, and the Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood animated short, Ascendance. It’s a fantastic watch, with brilliant acting and production values, utilizing the same technology used to create the iconic visual effects in Sin City and 300. If you don’t fancy holding out until November, here is the entire series available to watch in HD.

  1. Shouldn’t this be included in a limited edition of the game. 35 minutes!

  2. Did really enjoy Lineage but dont know that I’d want to pay for it since as you said its in HD for free on YouTube.

    • yeah seems a bit pointless and desperate to get the most out of the franchise. just make a full blown film then i’ll be interested

  3. While I wouldn’t buy a DVD for 35 minutes of footage, the quality of this was unparalelled considering it was conceived as a promotional thing for the game. Gives me faith in the movie adaption that Ubi’s new movie studio *was probably created for* probably has in production.

  4. Why buy when it’s on Youtube? I can understand maybe if you bought the download version as you can transfer it onto other devices at least, but brick and mortar? Nah….

  5. Still have all 3 parts on my ps3 hdd(38min.) from either the us or eu store. The production scale was very impressive, a must see imo.

  6. Lineage was brilliant, as was Ascendance. It’s nice to see Ubi thinking of the franchise as more than just a game, it gives me confidence that any AC Movie will be decent, and not a cheap spin-off. I’m also really looking forward to Embers that’s coming with AC Revelations.
