NetherRealm Studios has revealed the latest pair of free character skins coming to Mortal Kombat. The maskless Sub-Zero from MK3 and Retro Cyber Sub-Zero (who never existed) will be released on August 9th along with Freddy Krueger. Even if you don’t purchase the Freddy DLC these costumes will be included in the latest compatibility pack free of charge.

Agreed its a much better way of going about dlc. Working on dlc well after a game has released instead of the cheeky on-disc day 1 dlc EA & others are fond of.

That is very generous and it also gives the player a reason not to trade in the game. Most companies would have charged an extornate price for it. I wonder if this is the first of a very long line of free customes of the iconic fighters of MK?
