Capcom and From are back. The original super expensive custom controller Xbox game is returning to the 360 – first person, Kinect, the lot. 2012.
“Set in 2082,” goes the press release, “Steel Battalion Heavy Armor depicts a world devoid of semiconductors, where war is waged with rudimentary weapons as new superpowers struggle for dominance.”
“In a twist of fate, the U.S. army has been forced to begin major landing operations on what was once its own soil. In this low-tech era, there is one weapon class that will determine the course of the war – the Vertical Tank (VT). Playing as pilot Lt. Powers players control one such VT as he embarks on a mission that will see the action shift from North America to battlefields and war-torn streets across the globe.”
Movement, aiming and firing of the main guns are via the control, but everything else is via Kinect, from starting the engine to operating the score or machine gun.

Saving Private Ryan on steriods, even the sound of the bullets flying past & ricocheting sounds like it.
Looks like it could be good, probably not the best way to describe war, i’ll go for adrenalin packed instead. Unfortunately i’m 360less. Another game to tempt me, along with halo & gears.

I spotted the original game and controller for sale last week 2nd hand so had a peek – my what a lot of buttons! It’ll be interesting to see how it works with Kinect.. i’m thinking it will be hybrid kinect/pad.

didn’t the first one delete your save if you didn’t eject in time when your mech, or VT or whatever they wanna call it, was destroyed.
i’d like to see how you actually control this game, i think that’s gonna be the key piece of information for this game.
