First Footage Released From Quantum Conundrum

Ahead of the game’s official reveal at PAX, the first footage has been released from Square Enix and Airtight Games’ new project Quantum Conundrum, and it’s decidedly…fluffy.

Quantum Conundrum sees the player in search of their uncle, who has been captured inside his own mansion. The game is being headed up by Kim Swift, who was on the team that developed Narbacular Drop – the student project that became Valve’s Portal.

The video walkthrough shows off the first two of Conundrum’s dimension-disrupting gameplay features – the slow-motion and fluffy dimension. The game is due for release on PSN, XBLA and Steam in 2012.

  2. Couldn’t watch all of it as my computer doesn’t seem to like it. Looks quite interesting though. Time stopping is fun!

  3. That looks like a great game :) good simple concept with probably many puzzles

    • At first I wasn’t that impressed.
But the potential slowly reveals itself throughout the vid :)
      Could be great!

  4. (sub heading grabbed my attention:)

A fluffy, slow motion portal, sounds like a winner.
(@ 6.35, slo mo gives you more time, enlightening.)

  5. Hey, that looks really clever. It’s like portal without portals, but with fluffy stuff instead!

Please let this have move support, this is the kind of game I’d really like to see use it.

  6. reminds me of the paintball gun, that became gels in portal 2, a simple concept and plenty of variation are the bedrock of this genre, and they seem to have nailed it here, just hope they keep as imaginative as this with the other dimensions

  7. Wow, looks really cool, will be interesting to see what the other dimensions are. Don’t think it’ll take much more to convince me that this is a must buy!
