So Gears of War 3 will be with us very soon, no doubt offering hours of single/multiplayer action. For those looking to extend their time with the game, a ‘Season Pass’ will be available on the day the game launches.
For 2400 MSP you’ll gain access to the first four pieces of DLC; the first of which is out this November. Apparently the pass represents a 33% saving on buying all the DLCÂ separately. To sweeten the deal purchasers of the Season Pass will get the “exclusive Liquid Metal Weapon Set” for free.
To me it sounds a tad pricey (although there’s no doubt I’ll be picking up the single-player DLC at some point). However, to all the Gearheads out there this may well be on their radar.

How much is 2400 MS points in real money? About £20 or something? That’s a loooot for DLC, even if it’s a lot of DLC.

Why can’t they offer at least one of the DLC’s for free? We pay for the year, and I can’t help but wonder wtf am I paying for? I might buy Gears, but not the DLC.

2400 WOW Epic you’ve got greedy haven’t you. :/ It’s a shame really I love the Gears games but the DLC has always been expensive. The real question is, has it been worth it? Most of the time the DLC has been good but I would say it wasn’t worth it. For 2400 MSP I better be getting a whole game basically. And the Multi-player maps should be at least some fun and not utter garbage which then means I never play them. Granted some of the DLC is good but it’s rare. :/

In my experience, DLC rarely outdoes the ‘basic’ game.
I’d hold off, they’re asking too much for future DLC without so much as a trailer.
Buying them separately would cost more, but only if you find yourself buying them all.

Holy shinto! That is a rippoff. £30 for 4 pieces of DLC. If they are all map packs, i think there a fair bit of people will be outraged. season passes should be free with either preordered copies or new copies?
You could buy a few arcade games and a fair bit of DLC for that price, i think.(i don’t really know the prices on there).
