  1. The seven laps of Suzuka with a NASCAR was madness, but I still won first time round :)

  2. That’s a great free update and i guess i’ll have to manually download it as the PS+ auto-updates issue looks like it’s going to require firmware 3.71 to fix.

    • Yeah, it’s a bit of a pain seeing that FW 3.7 pretty much relied on Auto Update for its new features.

  3. I’ve long since stopped playing gt5, great that they’re still updating it though. They ruined the seasonals when they went and made them too easy. I’d try and get back into it but some things put me off, like the ludicrously boring endurance races.

  4. Jeff Gordon annoyed the hell out of me in this game

    • What better way to get back at him than to beat his challenge and steal his clothes? MUAHAHAHA!

      • Can’t you just run him over with a NASCAR

  5. Looking at this reminds me of why I got rid of GT5 after a month. Who cares about these cars?

Stop messing about adding s**t like this and write some decent AI code, proper HD models for the cars people care about and a progression system that doesn’t feel like a constant boring grind.

Possibly my biggest gaming disappointment ever. An almost entirely joyless experience.

    • Me too, and the menus. It was all so clunky, slow and awful. The AI is seriously bad, predictable, stupid and annoying. I had fun on it for a while after I abandoned the career mode due to the stupidness of it and the ludicrous car pricing, I just drove about in custom races in a Zonda or drift car for a while, this soon got boring after the AI would break and drive through the pits every lap if it was anything other than sunny as hell.. So disappointing.

    • These aren’t new cars, they have just made them available in the online dealership. That probably took one person 20 minutes. Not exactly time they should have been doing other game improvements.

      • They should be spending every second of every day making improvements as far as I am concerned.

Who knows, one day they might actually have a finished product, which clearly wasn’t the case when it was released (under orders)….

  6. not a bad update, not the best of cars though. Wasn’t a fan of NASCAR in the game, the special event was really quite hard, still can’t complete the turning one so will never complete. Also I see you can get the formula one car for much cheaper now, I bought the one in the online collectors deals as the others are too expensive.

    • Turn off the ABS in the driving options when driving NASCAR as this completely disables stability control allowing for much faster cornering – albeit with a little more skill ;)

      • ill have a go at it soon, thanks, im a good driver on it trust me…..

  7. Haven’t played this in quite a while so this is a good incentive to start. Liking the old skool cars – nice :D

  8. No chance, PD have forgotten what that word means.

Stick to Dirt3, although I’m now getting sick of that also due to the irritating voice-overs, lack of tracks and overpriced and in your face DLC strategy.

    • *sigh*

    • Something to add Jas?

    • I don’t think anyone really does at this point :/ seriously dude, it’s a patch, people like the game, others don’t. Stop filling up the comments with endless ranting, make a thread in the forums go complain there :)

    • You need to look up the definition of ‘rant’ before posting…

Also, I’ll let you know when I need your advice on how, where and what to post.

Hadn’t you better get back to GT5 so you can finish the same race 50 times to earn enough money to buy a decent car?

    • First of all there is no need to be cheeky, secondly the money problems and the lack of variety of races in GT5 aren’t there anymore since they started doing the seasonals.

    • * And breathe
      I won’t start !!

    • I’m not going to pretend GT5’s perfect but most of you points aren’t really valid any more

    • So as I pointed out earlier they released a inferior and incomplete game on the masses that has now been available for 10 months and still doesn’t deliver?

Have they finally patched the AI in the game so that all other cars dont just drive on rails and have a bit of personality? Added proper visual and mechanical damage? Provided HD models for cars such as the Bugatti Veyron? Dropped B-Spec, because who buys a driving/racing game so that they can sit and watch someone else drive? The list really does go on and on.

Biggest gaming disappointment ever. And thats from someone who has spent more hours than he would care to remember playing every GT game since the PS1.

  9. @TSBoneyman, change the time of your ps+ patch check & reboot, it should kick in then, did for me ;)

    • I’ve aready tried that manual fix, tnx. It works once and then doesn’t work again until i repeat those steps. Sony are aware of the issue still affecting some people and are working on a fix.

  10. This patch was for some bug fixes, seems to have helped some of the issues, had about ten online races with no issues at all. Lots of fun on the shuffle races though.

Coming up in the next month will be further updates with content and features apparently.
