Drake’s Deception 320GB Bundle Announced

For $299.99, US gamers will be able to get their hands on an all-new PlayStation 3 console bundle, which includes a copy of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. With 320GB of HDD space, the combo also includes a free 30 day pass for PlayStation Plus, presenting new members of the PSN community with exclusive offers, games, discounts and cloud save storage etc.

There has been no confirmation as to whether other regions will receive a similar bundle. Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception launches in the States on November 1st, with an EU and Japanese release scheduled on the 2nd.

  1. Just saying the 320GB isnt enough with a PS plus sub. You start with about 290GB then it drops to about 230GB anyway after firmware updates. Nice bundle though

      • Nope with a 320GB I have around 78GB left at the moment! I have about 80 games (PSN, Minis, PS1), 69 films and around 1000 photos, as well as game data installs. So it holds up pretty well actually.

      • ha try a 500gb HDD, with a plus subscription, DLC for various games, Downloadable PSN games and Play TV…I have about 50-70gbs for recording or installing new games.

        really any new system from now on should have at least 2tb HDD to start with, especially if they try to move away from physical media…

        of course I could always delete the mp3’s, videos and demo’s from the HDD…but what would be the fun in that?

      • I agree. Most people are not going to have all of that stuff on their system. 320GB is more than adequate for that price. Get a 360 Kinect bundle and see how much hard drive space you get.

        On another note, the box art is very nice.

    • I’m doing just fine with my 80 GB PS3. I regularly delete installed game data for games I no longer play and don’t store media on the system itself (I stream or watch in on my PC that is also hooked up to the TV) and have around 30 GB of free space. It’s about proper management! :D

    • Simple solution. Just buy a new hard drive. I got a 620g for about £40 a year ago. Might be even cheaper now.

      • Haha orgami same here. Been a plus subcribers sence it’s release and i can’t deleate anything :(

      • Have dozens of unplayed minis and psn games but I can’t bring myself to delete them just in-case I wan’t to re-downlaod them straight after

      When you’ve got a 320gb phat with a dodgy blu ray drive just for psn games etc,

      a 320gb slim for games and ermmm resi 4

    • I have a 250gb with 130 PSN games on it excluding all the minis….no worries at all, I find keeping an eye on the Game Data Utility clears out 4/5gbs in one chunk, sometimes more, all those sizeable installs are somehow easy to forget!

      • Yes, so much space is taken up on mine by unplayed games with huge installs, Far Cry 2 and Heavy rain are the biggest! Need a clear out of it

I understand the logic behind this bundle but unless they’re going to start doing themed console (R2-D2 360/Reach 360) then there’s not really any big drive for people to buy this when they can get the same equipment cheaper sepertately. I’d be willing to pay extra for an Uncharted themed PS3 with the game if my PS3 broke otherwise I’d just buy a cheaper PS3 and put a bigger HDD in it.

    • I was just thinking that. Can you get the items in the bundle at a cheaper cost? I hope not or it tears a hole in the reason to buy it in the first place.

      • I can tell you that a 320GB PS3 is that price without the game and trial of +. So you basically get a free brand new game.

  5. Sounds pretty good, wish I had more HDD space than my fat PS3.. Still works and I don’t have the monies so I’ll be staying.

  8. For $300 that’s one hell of a good deal, but of course if the bundle come to Aus it would most likely cost $500+ which doesn’t seem like an as good deal.

    That aside, ill try and get UC3 as soon as i can after its released
    (40 Days left, getting excited!)

    • Going by the price listed on the eb website it should be 450 tops, this gives the game for free so you just pay for the ps3. Though I get your point, fools have no idea how to use an exchange rate calculator.

  10. These console bundles are so boring. I wish Sony would theme the PS3’s for the game that they come bundled with, much like what MS did with the Gears 3 360 console. Still, it’s not a bad deal.
