Insomniac’s love affair with space looks set to continue if new trademarks filed by the company are anything to go by.
The Resistance and Ratchet & Clank developers have made trademark filings for ‘Space Beasts’ and ‘Galaxy Beasts’ in the US for video game software and online video games, Siliconera reports.
Insomniac are currently hard at work on their first multiplatform title, Overstrike, for EA. Could these new filings be a sign of a growing partnership between the two?

I lost all faith with Insomniac after they sold out to EA. It’s affected both R3 and the R&C games, both of which are not up to their usual high standards. I’m just not excited for what they do any more, but hey it’s just my opinion.
da_siz
how long have they been working with EA for?
Forrest_01
Not long i would guess, but they did mention that they were looking to do multiplatform games earlier in the year.
I guess the success (or lack of) will determine what happens next.

I didn’t know that, might explain why R3 was a bit meh.

Yeah, i knew i had seen it somewhere – Unsurprisingly, turns out it was here!

Me too. Totally disappointed, They’ve gotten too big and spread out now, it was so much better when they were focused.

They’re completely messing up the pattern! Aargh. 2 new IPs in one generation. I’m overreacting. Let’s see what happens.

More than that.. Resistance, overstrike, this..That’s 3 right? Unless this is an expansion of a previous IP..

Have to saying agree with all the comments so far…havent completed r3 yet…
