The collection of ten Gameboy Advance games for the 3DS early adopters are now available. If you paid upwards of £200 (like I did) then this is a lovely gesture – a nice pack of games that includes the sublime Minish Cap and the utterly brilliant Wario Ware, Inc.
However, you’ll need to do the usual Nintendo magic to get at them. Zoom all the way out on the Home screen and then arrange all your icons on your 3DS into a giant pixely Mario. Spin around three times and then recite the entire script from Ocarina of Time.
Alternatively, jump into the eShop, go to settings and then check your downloaded list. Either one will be equally successful.
The full list of games is:
- F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
- Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi’s Island
- Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
- Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
- Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
- Mario Kart: Super Circuit
- Mario vs. Donkey Kong
- Metroid Fusion
- Wario Land 4
- WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames
I’ve never played Fire Emblem, but the rest are gaming gold. Or, in the case of Super Circuit, silver. Regardless, this is great – get them downloaded and then join the rest of us moaning about how blurry they are on the 3DS screen. And how there’s no 3D.
Oh, and where’s my Advance Wars?

Amazed at how small the file sizes are!

Some awesome games….never finished the Minish Cap sadly. Still have it though!

Poo, should’ve bought my 3DS in with me and got them downloading over the work Wifi. Really pleased with this set of titles, especially given how much they’d probably charge to download them all over the 3DS Store.
Youles
That’s true, especially if you compare to the PS Store PSOne pricing. Some awful looking Micky game for £4, really? When Resistance 3 DLC is the same price?

But then they cover it up using nintendollars.
Youles
Really, Nintendollars? Lol

Looking forward to getting home tonight and downloading all these, although I am currently playing Mario Land 3D, so will be spoilt for choice!
Fire Emblem is brilliant, fantasy based Advance Wars is quite a good description. But also semi RPG – characters can be upgraded, but if killed in battle are lost for good. Think you will enjoy it Alex.

Hmmm not sure whats going to happen. Anyone know what you needed to do to qualify for this? I bought a 3DS pretty much day of release, then traded it in a few weeks later as there was nothing to play on it (least I made a profit on it :D). Now I have a new one so fingers crossed I have some games waiting for me tonight.

If your current 3DS hadn’t visited the eShop before the cut-off date then you’re out of luck. You’ll have had a Nintendo VIP notification on your 3DS already if the games are on their way to you (and you’ve been near a wi-fi connection).
