First up: Trials Evolution is utterly brilliant. Â Been hammering it for the last few hours and – like Peter said earlier – it’s great. Â It’s not quite as refined as the first game but it’s much more fun, and there’s absolutely loads to it.
Because of the much wider range of level design developers RedLynx have managed to get quite a lot of gaming references into the various levels – you’ve probably seen screenshots of some of them.
Oh, and this one, which we reckon owes a little bit of its inspiration to the likes of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, especially the art style and that ending which – well, we’ll let you discover for yourselves but it involves cages…
Wonderful stuff, and the homages don’t stop there – look out for one based on Portal (yum) and another that looks very much like Limbo (even yummier) as well as plenty of other non-gaming nods thrown in for good measure.
The game’s out tomorrow, exclusive to Xbox 360, and features local and online multiplayer and one hell of an editor which, once it gets into the hands of the talented public, looks set to deliver some wicked looking levels.

XBLA games seem to be the only games that make me want a new 360 at the mo, aside from just a general convenience standpoint. There’s a phenomenal level of quality coming off the service at the mo, but aside from that and Halo 4, nothing else has me wanting to get a new one.

Not turned my 360 for a while! This will change that.

A shame it’s just for XBLA. Won’t be able to buy it.

Hmm, Looks like something I’d just play once and never go back to, looks impressive though.

Part of that level looked distinctly like Pandemonium.
I’m really looking forward to this, Trials HD was amongst my motivation for getting a 360.
