Mythic Teases New WoH Heroes, Update Goes Live

Cheap rats, Dwarf hero on the horizon.

The Wrath of Heroes open beta has been in full swing for over a week now, and though today’s update isn’t perhaps as chock-full as the last, BioWare Mythic is promising more content in the weeks to come.

Two new skins have been added to the in-game store for melee characters Drulg and Bax, the heavy hitting greenskin menace now available to buy using in-game gold of premium “gems.” The selection of trial heroes has also been rotated, this week featuring Drulg, Felicia, and Volrik. Irrik is also available at a limited discount price of 105 gems.

Unfortunately, there will be no new heroes for at least another two weeks. Mythic has revealed that the next character will hail from the Dwarf faction with our money on Thagison, the so-called “mage killer.” Next month will also see the release of WoH’s second open beta healer, Warrior Priest, Conrad, being the most likely choice.

Do the stats from the beta carry over into the full release? If not, I’ll wait until then to check out my latest Warhammer game.

I should think they do. In open beta you can already pay for XP/gold boosts and characters. There is always to tiniest, tiniest chance, though when money’s involved, it would earn Mythic a world of agony from angry fans.

If you ever get into it add “OrcBreaker” to your friends list. Best way to play is when part of a Warband.
