Minecraft On 360 Was "Profitable Within An Hour"

Do not doubt it.

Last night we reported that a huge number of people had rated Minecraft on 360, more than anything else around recently anyway.

Today it looks like most of those ratings have transformed into sales, with original Minecraft developer Notch (Markus Persson) saying that the game was immediately profitable.

“Well then,” he said. “Saw the official sales numbers for the first 24 hours of Minecraft Xbox 360, and it’s very, very good. Profitable in an hour.”

He also says that didn’t know that split-screen was disabled if players were using an SD television set.

I got the points as they were at half price but have no idea their true value. Supposedly it’s £7 worth but no idea what that gets me. Was hoping I could get this but at £14 it sounds too much for what sounds like a role playing lego set and I thought it was free on the PC.

Minecraft is not free on PC, it’s £15.
