As part of the pre-E3 hype it’s starting to become very in vogue for publishers and devs to say that they aren’t attending the world’s greatest gaming event.
Now it’s time to add Rockstar to that growing list. They have confirmed their non-attendance at E3 next week, according to CVG. The site has heard from ‘trusted sources’ that Rockstar executives and development staff won’t be at E3 in any capacity.
Rockstar traditionally doesn’t demo new games and tech at E3, so such a move perhaps is unsurprising, but with projects such as GTA V and Agent looming it had been thought that the developer might lift its self-imposed embargo this time.

Microsoft would be more likely, but Rockstar themselves don’t have to be the ones to announce a DLC timed exclusivity.
They weren’t even on Sony’s stage when Agent was announced if I recall correctly.

how would MS be more likely Sony they have a exclusive game if they show gameplay it will be from rockstar guys plus a Vita could be on the cards as well.

I don’t think we’ll hear anything about Agent (hope we do, but I think it’s dead at this point).
Don’t forget the exclusivity deals for GTA IV DLC either.
Although a Vita game would be nice. San Andreas Stories? GTA 3 HD (hey, if it can be done on my iPad, why not Vita?) or something non-GTA as I’d prefer to see- Red Dead Stories or LA Noire stories?

R* dont need to spend money on a booth at E3/keynote. Everyone goes ape as soon as GTA V is even hinted at :P.

They should be there and they should announce that they are releasing a patch for max Payne 3 so the online mode works properly!

Not surprised as Rockstar don’t usually appear at E3. But i suspect we will see a GTA5 trailer at Sony’s conference.
Then again, this is Rockstar we are talking about. They could probably just release a 5 second trailer and we would get excited for GTA5 any time of the year.
