New Mortal Kombat Movie Stars Supermarket Employee

Mortal Kombat was never going to be easy to adapt to the big screen. Although, I do love the cheesefest that is the original big screen adaptation.

The new movie seems to be taking what can only be described as a ‘unique direction’ as Bloody Disgusting reports that Oren Uziel’s screenplay will follow the fortunes of a supermarket employee.

The trolley pusher discovers he has ‘out of this world powers’ and must help win the battle between good and evil.

In a twist, Team Evil are the ones who help the plucky employee discover his arse kicking abilities – will that lure him to the dark side?

No. Of course not, that never happens in movies, he’s going to be a goody two shoes.

How the plot moves from a supermarket to a magical island and fights to the death is anybody’s guess.
