Are SEGA Making Sonic Adventure 3?

It looks like a a big clump of Sonic related domain names were registered a few months back, all of which relate to “Sonic Adventure 3” in various forms.

The domains don’t go anywhere yet, and appear to have been registered through European hosts 1&1 rather than SEGA’s usual companies, but surely if they weren’t official the publisher would have noticed.

Swerving past the similarly styled but generally awful Sonic 2006, the Adventure games were actually really enjoyable on the Dreamcast (and Gamecube) and so another would be welcome here.

Let’s hope the Chao Gardens return – they’re easily the best bits.

  1. HD Chao Garden! If they release SA3 and have the Chao Garden in it I WILL find a way to transfer money to Sega by throwing money at the screen while dancing naked.
    Your move, Sega!

  2. It could just be a fan thing? I used to have my domain with 1&1.

However there’s been rumours of a new game, expected next year before the reboot.

  3. Well, Sonic 2006 would’ve been decent if it wasn’t rushed. So I’m hoping that if they do return to something like that they really should attempt to make a good 3D game for its possible.

oh and.. Crush 40 at the opening screen and final boss battle please. Generations was quite disappointing though.

    • I kinda liked generations better than those episode sonics with there weirdly animated sonic.

  4. Ihave to say i prefer the old 2D style of sonic and mario for that matter over the 3D versions so far.
