3DS XL Sells 200,000 In 2 Days

Nintendo still has the magic, it seems. The Nintendo 3DS XL, a bigger, better update to the existing 3DS, has sold 200,000 units in just two days in Japan, according to Famitsu.

And proving that people still love their Mario, the latest New Super Mario Bros game, which releases here in August, has sold over 430,000 copies in the same 48 hour period.

Incredible figures.

  1. Awesome :-) I do love my 3DS, even if it doesn’t get a lot of attention at the moment. Bring on the new releases.

    • Hitting it daily with FF: Theatrhythm myself.
I really want a new full on RPG though. (Zelda doesn’t count as I’ve played that to death on other formats.)

  2. Isn’t that something like a quarter of Vita’s Japanese sales to date?… Incredible.

    • So, using internet logic, Sony just need to bring out a clumsier looking, retarded, bigger brother of a Vita and sales will sky-rocket. There’s a big bonus for Christmas coming your way for such awesome thinking. Take the rest of the day off.

      • Blast, it was the law of diminishing returns wasn’t it? -completely skipped my mind.. too late now.. :/

  3. Have you tried Heroes of Ruin? I bought a Nyko battery for this game. On 2nd playthrough with a different character now, not quite borderlands but close.

I bought my brother the XL as he has poor vision, he’s over the moon with it.
